Candlelight: Tribute to Fleetwood Mac Colorado Springs Concert reviews
Kat Williams
I was a little disappointed in his Atlanta show, I love Candlelight: Coldplay & Imagine Dragons Tribute as a comedian. The show was an overall letdown aside from him leaving early due to his illness. The volume was up so loud that I could hardly understand what the comedians were saying because they are talking loud into the mic. It makes it wear you can hardly hear a word with the volume being up so loud. I paid a lot of money for seats that were the highest level you could get for the show to start late. The show was supposed to begin at 8pm according to our tickets, it didn't begin til almost 9pm. No one even came out to tell us anything, and finally one of the open acts "apologized" for the event not beginning at 8. The show ending early. We were out of there by 10:30 or so and the show started late. I hope Candlelight: Coldplay & Imagine Dragons Tribute got better from being sick but they should have at least somehow comped our tickets or maybe given us some sort of promo code for other events we would want to attend.
RAY IS AMAZING LIVE!!!
I bought the tickets and then read the reviews, honestly no one can tell me anything bad about Mr. Candlelight: Coldplay & Imagine Dragons Tribute. So a lot of the reviews were negative stating that too much of his new Album Supernova was played.
To those critics - you are uncomfortable with change and prefer the old ways like the first Captain Crunch character, or the original Pepsi logo... I can only assume.
He is allowed to evolve artistically, honestly I would be afraid if he did not. What those critics did not critique is the tonality of his voice, or his control of his pitch, or even his amazing personality.
A fan screamed "play acoustic" when he had his full band on stage - to which he replied "Go Fuck yourself" and the crowd went wild! His opening act and band featured the Belle Brigade, who have just earned a new fan. Super professional and amazing harmony.
If you love the husk of his voice, His genuine personality and the depth of his lyrics, please don't miss this tour. He sounds amazing live. I nearly forgot what great musicians can do to a crowd, you could hear a pin drop by the time he ended Jolene and everyone, and I mean everyone, sang along to Supernova.
Iron Maiden - Final Frontier Tour
Maiden always put on a great show, this tour showcasing more of the new album and old favorites than last year's tour of the same name(which i also attended). Nevertheless, the band was in fine form and the new material sounded terrific. The only reason I gave 4 stars was due to the slight lack of production. I also really enjoyed hearing a few classics I had not heard at previous shows I have been to. Being the last show of tour, it was scaled down in terms of production, i.e. no pyro and less of their mascot Eddie, although he did make his usual appearance during "Candlelight: Coldplay & Imagine Dragons Tribute". Maiden is a fantastic live band, I highly recommend seeing them if you can.
